Selfie Bag by Cotton Bag Co. Review

I thought it was about time I did a fashion post as they’ve been pretty non-existent on this blog. Needless to say, when the opportunity to review the Selfie Bag by Cotton Bag Co. came around, I couldn’t wait to try it. Whilst not a major handbag enthusiast, I love tote bags. University open days definitely made me want to see how many tote bags I could collect.

At first glance, the Selfie Bag looks just like a normal tote. There are 2 designs to choose from. A colourful flower print, or a black and gold pattern. I went for the black and gold as I felt that was more suitable for this time of year, but also more versatile. It’s really smart and could be used for school or work.

As a tote bag, the quality is really good. I’ve used some before that feel like they will break at any moment, whereas the Selfie Bag is much stronger.

But what makes the Selfie Bag different from your average tote?

To start off, there are 2 pockets inside the bag. A zipped section for valuables, which I love as tote bags are usually open and not the safest of bags for the important stuff. There’s also a pocket for a selfie stick. I don’t own one, but my phone fits in it perfectly, so you can definitely use this section for your other belongings.

What really differentiates this bag is the fold out reflector sheet to help with that all-important lighting. I’m still getting to grips with it, which is why I’ve not shared a selfie. Once I’ve practised more, I’ll share my efforts. For me, having a fold-out sheet is perhaps not the best as it’s hard to hold the sheet in front of you whilst also trying to take a photo. Although that could just be me missing a trick!

The bag comes with a booklet about selfies, including advice and selfie statistics.

Overall, the Selfie Bag is a really good product. It costs £9.99 from the Cotton Bag Co. website. Even if you’re not a selfie fan, it’s still a nice bag to have and could be used for a variety of things. Maybe a reusable shopping bag to support the environment?
